Attention all Gorillaz fanz/loverz ...

The excitement and anticipation of waiting for the the new phase three artwork has been totally freaking some of us out, I know. Many many many questions arised, and a lot of peeps, like me, were really really confoosed. Most of us were worried about what the band would look like in the new phase. I for one was extreamly scared that Murdoc would look ... erm ... older (HE'S NOT THAT OLD, PEOPLE.) and that Noodle would look totally different. Mhhmmm. Nerve-wrecking? VERY.

Just a few days ago, Gorillazunoficial ([link]) released a news article that answered most of our questions about the band's new appearence. The article displayed a cover picture for the magazine "Wired" and on the cover, all four members of the Gorillaz were shown. Everyone appeared to look the same for the most part, though Russel had gotten ... bigger ... Noodle has obviously been building up some serious muscle, and her bangs seemed slightly shorter as well, but her general hair style remained the same. Which I was thankfull for. Noodle's Phase two hairstyle was so incredibly adorable ... love it. Murdoc seems ... a bit greener in this photo, but basically looks the same as in phase two. 2D did not look different at all. =]

If you click on the "Read More" link at the very bottom of this journal, more details on the Wired Magazine pop up. Sorry to say, but this article is not really about the Gorillaz. It's more about the new technologies of 2010, and Murdoc gives the readers of Wired a few tips for the new year.

BUT! HEY! WOW!! Not only did the entire group make the cover of Wired, but other photos were also shown throughout the maganize, giving the fans a closer look at the Gorillaz' new style. One picture, probably the most revealing photo, shows all four members' heads ... in ... boxes (now where have we seen that before??).

Murdoc was in the first box, and he looks a little different from the picture on the cover. He does appear to be sliiiightly greener ... like a ... minty green. =] A few teeth may be missing, he looks a tad skinnier, his chin and ears seem pointier, and his hair looks messier. Messy messy. And sexy. Yes, he is back and sexier than EVA. AND THE BESTESTESTEST PART? JAMIE DID NOT MAKE HIM LOOK OLD! Seriously everybody. I was terrified that he'd appear older ... but he's NOT! THANK YOU JAMIE!!!! Trust me. A lot of other fans and lovers of Murdoc were also FREAKED. But all remains right with the world ... =] =] =]

Noodle was in the box next to him and ... wow ... she looks really really beautiful. Like, so pretty! And ... peaceful. She has, like I said before, the same exact hair style, but her bangs are shorter, revealing her cute eyes ... It was very interesting seeing everyone's predictions of Noodle's new appearence ... some people made her have long hair. I drew her with shorter, 2D-like hair. (Oh yeah ... a lot of people are questioning why she looks like she got punched in the eye in this picture ... I honestly don't know. Might just be make up.) I am so extadic with her phase three look. She looks ahhmazing!!!

2D was below Murdoc in this photo. He looks the same. 'Cept for his hair. It seems a lil' bit shorter in the back, but the front of his hair is the exact same. Cute. Sexy. So ... so sexy. Yep. We didn't really have to worry much about 2D. He will always be the sexy lil' fellow we all adore no matter what. Yay.

And finally ... Russel. Russ, Russ, happy ... smiley Russ. You should see him! He's smiling ... a lot! (He ... doesn't ... do that so often. ) He just looks so supa happy ... Hoo-rah!!

There was one other picture of Murdoc's full-body profile that I love. He seems to have lost that beer belly. Hawt. As. Hell.

Jamie appears to have changed his style jusssssst slighty. Nothing drastic. At all. It is very very similar to the Phase two style. He did warn us that he was "getting bored" of drawing the characters, so he said he would definately modify them accordingly.

Thankfully, Jamie did nothing really big. Murdoc was probably the one to change the most. And that wasn't a lot.

So yeah. That's pretty much it. My fingers hurt from typing ...

I know this is a really really REALLY exciting time for all Gorillaz fans and lovers. It's totally overwhelming for some and it's a lot to take in in just a few days. I gotta say ... when i saw these pictures ... I cried. A LOT. I am so happy with the results.

But seriously, everyone. Just ... just think back, to when the Gorillaz first started out in Phase One. They were so so young ... their style was a Hell of a lot different, that's for sure ... and then all of a sudden everything changed in Phase Two ... now THAT must have been even harder to take in. Wow ... I can't even imagine ... especially with Noods. She's gone from little girl, to independent teenager, and now she is a mature young woman. YAY NOODLE!

Every time I see a Phase One picture or music video I get all teary-eyed now ... they are just sooo amazing. And they've changed so so much over the years ... (I know ... I am a very emotional human-being.)

Now we are just waiting for more demos, interviews, and MUSIC VIDEOS!!! SWEET SATAN I cannot WAIT for music videos! GAHH!!!
